NE Philadelphia Flower Shop Is Locale For New Movie Shoot

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A flower shop with a unique look in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia has been picked as a location for an independent film being shot in Philadelphia and South Jersey.

Film crews are shooting at the Stein Flowers Shop, on Frankford Avenue near Tyson. It's in a 1950s-style building with greenhouse-like front windows and neon signs.

"They used the counter space here, so most of the scene is shot at the counter," said Patrick Kelly, the owner.  "But they were so impressed with the store they also needed to do a flower show scene. So they are going to come back in a week and a half and we are going to set up the front of the store."

"In part of the movie, the love-struck guy is looking for this girl and he happens to go to the flower show to try and find her.  So they are going to use the front of the store, inside, to create that scene," Kelly explained.

The  comedy is called Mancation and stars former 'N Sync singer Joey Fatone and Danica McKellar, who played Winnie Cooper in the TV show "The Wonder Years."

(Bree Olson, former porn actress and one of actor Charlie Sheen's so-called "goddesses," is no longer in the cast.)
