Police: Delaware Couple Leaves Children In Car While Burglarizing Doctor’s Office
LEWES, Del. (CBS/AP) — Delaware State Police have charged two people and are looking for a third in connection with a burglary at the former Lewes office of accused pedophile pediatrician Earl Bradley.
Police said Tuesday that 29-year-old Jamey Lathbury and 25-year-old Holly Lathbury were charged with burglary, theft and other crimes after a passer-by reported suspicious activity at the boarded-up site of the former Baybees Pediatrics office on Saturday.
The Millsboro couple also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly leaving their three children – ages 7, 6, and 5 — in their car while stealing items that included computer monitors, swords, Disney collectible figurines and camera equipment.
Investigators are searching for 52-year-old David Carty, who they believe assisted Jamey Lathbury when he returned to the site a second time to steal more items.
Jamey Lathbury is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institute on $4,000 secured bond. Holly Lathbury was released on $6,050 unsecured bond. However, she was held for a probation violation in the Women’s Correctional Institute.
Anyone with information on Carty’s whereabouts are urged to contact the Delaware State Police at 302-856-5850 ext 214 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
