Driver Sought In Camden County Hit-Run

ERIAL, N.J. (CBS) - Police in Camden County are searching for a driver who fled the scene after striking a pedestrian Wednesday evening.

The incident happened at about 8:09 p.m. at the intersection of Erial and Garwood Roads in Erial, New Jersey.

According to investigators, the driver of a car struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The victim was conscious and was taken to Cooper University Hospital to be treated for a possible broken nose and broken right leg. The victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The striking vehicle is believed to be a dark colored sedan, with possible damage to the front and driver's front quarter panel. It is believed the mirror may be hanging, but not shattered due to the lack of glass being found at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department. Anyone with information is urged to call 856-228-4500.
