Suspect Sought For Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Teenager

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl at knife point.

According to police, the attack occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of Salmon Street. Police say a man approached the 17-year-old victim and tried to sexually assault at knife point.

After the alleged attack the suspect fled on Indiana Street towards Richmond Street.

The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 30 and 40, standing about 6'2" tall. He also had a muscular build and a light beard. The victim told police he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a gold zipper, blue jeans and dirty tan boots during the time of the attack.
