Springtime Is Show Time

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Look up at the trees. Many branches may be bare, but things are changing fast. In the canopy of trees that were empty all winter you're starting to see a haze of color - flower or leaf buds depending what kind of tree it is. Many maples have a reddish hue as their buds begin to grow. While lots of willows show a yellow glow. And fuzzy magnolia buds are getting fatter.

The start of Spring is like being backstage with all the players primping for their performance. It won't look this way for long, soon everything will be fluffy with flowers and shady green with leaves.

So, stop and take a look right now at the trees around you - peer up in the sky for a second when you're stopped at a light and take a walk at lunchtime to see some trees up close. Then keep watching in the coming weeks while our trees put on an ever-changing display as the buds burst into bloom for Spring.
It's…show time!
