Mid-Day Madness At The Office

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - March Madness gets underway in earnest today. Temple takes on Penn State at 2:10 p.m. in Tuscon, Ariz.  -- while many of us are supposed to be at work. What's a fan, or manager, to do?

This round of games seems like it's 24/7, so OfficeTeam, the skilled administrative temp firm, asked around about March Madness on the job. From more than 1,000 responses, about a third said, none of this hoopla at work, but 11 percent called it a welcome diversion and most fell in the middle range, says Christine Endres of OfficeTeam Philadelphia.

"We found that a lot of organizations even encourage their employees to decorate their cubicles or to wear their apparel of whatever college they were supporting.  It was really just making sure that they stayed in line with company policies in terms of breaks to check in on the games and also in regards to internet usage."

The firm recommends sportsmanship, especially in places where there are Lions and Owls and cheers, oh my.
