Basketball: Cabrini Pumped for Sweet 16 Match-Up

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) - For the second time in school history, Cabrini College has advanced to the "Sweet 16" of the Division III NCAA men's basketball tournament.

The Cavaliers will be on the road for their Sweet 16 matchup, visiting a very good squad from the College of Wooster on Friday night.

The Cavaliers defeated New Jersey City University and SUNY-Purchase to get here.  In the second round game against Purchase, Cabrini rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to advance.

Cavaliers head coach Marcus Kahn says he is very proud of his team for fighting through those first two games.

"They played so hard this weekend," Kahn told KYW Newsradio. "To get two wins in the NCAA Tournament is just a terrific accomplishment for our guys and our program and really for our college.  Our guys are feeling really good about where we are and what we've accomplished to this point."

Champions of the North Coast Athletic Conference, the College of Wooster brings a 28-2 record into Friday's game.  They defeated Benedictine (Ill.) and Manchester to advance, and Kahn says they present some new challenges for his squad.

"They are a lot different from what we've seen from any team we have played this year," Kahn says.  "They are going to be a lot bigger, a lot stronger.  This past weekend was no problem getting a team to (play) the game to the tempo at which we wanted it -- a much faster-paced tempo, going up and down the floor.  We are going to have to do some things differently to drag these guys with us.  They are going to want to pound it inside and do a lot through the post.  We are a much more guard-oriented team.  So it's going to be a battle of wills."

The winner of this game will face the winner of Marietta College and Whitworth University on Saturday.
