BURLINGTON TWP., N.J. (CBS) – Burlington Township Police are asking for the public’s assistance in searching for two suspects accused of scamming elderly women.
According to police, the two suspects are being connected to a deception plot that targeted an 87-year-old woman at a Wal-Mart on February 23. Police say the pair used a fake bank deposit story to rip off more than $4,000 from the victim.
The suspects were driving a gold-colored Honda Pilot SUV that had Pennsylvania inspection stickers and a handicap placard hanging from the rear-view mirror when they targeted the victim at a Wal-Mart, authorities say.
Police believe they’ve also scammed people in East Goshen, Chester County and Moorestown, Burlington County.
The suspects are described as black females in their 60′s. If you have any information, you are asked to please contact Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police at 610-692-5100 or Burlington Township Police at 609-239-5859.
