Philadelphia Police Officer Arrested After Allegedly Pulling Gun On Hospital Employee

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia police officer is arrested after an internal affairs investigation.

Authorities say officer John King pulled a gun on a Mercy Hospital employee during an argument in October 2009.

The district attorney's office filed numerous charges against the 54-year-old cop following a lengthy Internal Affairs investigation.

King, a 14-year veteran of the police force, is charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and several other related offenses.

Commissioner Charles Ramsey suspended King, who was assigned to the 12th district, for 30 days with the intent to dismiss.
