Teen Stabbed With Tweezers During Fight At Delaware School

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A teen was arrested after police say he stabbed another teen with tweezers inside a Delaware high school Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 12:40 p.m. inside the A.I. DuPont High School located in Wilmington.

According to investigators, the incident began when two ninth grade students became involved in an altercation inside the boy's locker room.

During the altercation, the 14-year-old suspect lunged at the victim and stabbed him in the back with a pair of metal tweezers.

The victim was taken to the school nurse who then contacted EMS. The victim was then transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

The teen suspect was arrested and charged with one count each of Assault 2nd Degree and Carrying a Concealed dangerous Instrument. He was arraigned and released after posting $500 secured bail.
