Police Probe Deadly Germantown Home Invasion
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A man is dead and a woman is hurt in a home invasion early Monday morning in East Germantown.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of Nelson Street.
Philadelphia police say a man burst inside and attacked the couple while they were in bed.
A 33-year-old man was stabbed once in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. A 32-year-old woman was slashed in the face. She was listed in stable condition.
There's no word on a motive, or whether anything was taken from the home.
Authorities say the woman knew the suspect, and was able to give police his name. Cops are still on the hunt.
