You apologists should be ashamed of yourselves. The police trample all over your fellow citizens while you ignore it or give excuses. You’ll never care until it happens to you.

  • Wow

I hope the cop gets fired and the owner sues the city. Way to go idiots

You people are something else the Police are out there everyday trying to take care of city. Some of your remarks are uncalled for and mabe you should think first. Maybe you people forget Police Officers are human beings just like us.
It is a dam job that they don’t get paid enough to do.
He made a mistake ….mistakes happen even to police officers..
Give the cop a break I am sure he/she feels bad enough. SOrry the dog died but if a dog attacked me I would shot him too.

As a former cop I can tell you this is inexcusable. They made a mistake and went into the wrong house and killed a dog that was protecting its home. The officer should be reprimaned and have to pay any expenses to the owners. The task force that put this together needs to be disbanned because now the drug dealers they meant to target were definately tipped off by this mistake.

He is lucky not to be shot and killed by the home owner

  • Terry

Amazing. The cop is lucky he didn’t get shot. He entered a private residence, without probable cause. If the owner had been armed and was startled it could have been much worse.

Careless cops at it again. I’m so glad I left Philadelphia!

The dog bit the cop’ss ankle – did not go for his throat!!! No need to shoot the poor dog protecting his home!

A miscommunication could have gotten someone killed! It’s really a shame for the dog, since he was just protecting his domain!!!

  • Lt Thomas Mcartney

That officer is lucky he does not work for me.. Zero tolerance when I’m in charge!

  • Red

Thank goodness the home owner didn’t try to protect himself too.

Going into the wrong residense could cause worse events. A person protecting his property could get killed. Accidents happen. If it was a raid, these should be properly planned.
