Main Line Smash And Grab

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) -- A series of bold dinnertime break-ins in one Main Line community has authorities warning residents to safeguard their valuables.

Radnor Township police say since late January, thieves have hit at least nine vehicles parked in restaurant lots along West Lancaster Avenue -- in the 200 block, at Town Center; the 300 block, at Chili's; and the 500 block, at Eagle Village Shops.

Between 6 and 8PM, cops say cars and SUVs have had windows smashed; grabbed were laptops, iPods, clothes, and cash.

Police are adding extra patrols in Wayne and tell visitors and residents to lock such items in the trunk.
