Recently Promoted Birds Assistant Leaving For The Bengals

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) - Andy Reid's coaching staff has experienced yet another change as one of their coaches is heading to the AFC North.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced the hiring of James Urban as their wide receivers coach, a few weeks after Urban was promoted to Eagles assistant offensive coordinator. Urban was quarterbacks coach for the Birds for the previous two years. Doug Pederson, formerly the team's offensive quality control coach, is set to replace Urban as quarterbacks coach on offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg's staff.

There is no word on Urban's replacement as assistant offensive coordinator, or even if the position will be filled. He had been with the organization since 2004 as Andy Reid's assistant followed by a stint as offensive quality control coach, then finally as quarterbacks coach.
