Balmy Weather Brings Philly's Lunchtime Crowd Outdoors

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Even though it's February, temperatures around the Delaware Valley were going past 60 degrees on Friday -- the perfect menu for dining al fresco.

Wearing just a light jacket or a hoodie, many hearty souls today enjoyed their brown-bag lunches and snack shop delicacies in Philadelphia parks and on steps outside of center city buildings.

The key was being outside -- after all, it's been a long, snowy winter.

"This if the first time we've been out here in a long time," noted one.  "It's Friday, it's nice."

"We were just happy to be outside in the warm weather, even though the wind is picking up.  I'm OK."

"Because it's 56 degrees out!  Terrible winter we've had..."

"It's beautiful being out here, yes."

Everyone agreed: eating lunch outside in 56 degrees beats eating lunch inside when it's five degrees outside.
