Philly Staffing Firm Releases E-Etiquette Guide For Business

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The international staffing firm Robert Half is out with a free downloadable guide to electronic business etiquette.

Nearly two-thirds of HR managers interviewed by Robert Half said that an e-blunder could "somewhat" effect your career path. The guide lists five types of unproductivity: the venter (always negative), the noise polluter (no mute button), the cryptic communicator (abbreviations need code-breaking), the pop-up artist (constantly barraging you with IM's), and the conference call con (busy with the smart phone, ignoring the topic).

Jack Schultz of Robert Half list one more blunder:

"The friend counter. I think almost everybody has seen this person where it's almost a race to see how many contacts they can have or how many friends and sometimes with really no (substance) to those relationships."
