PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating two shootings that killed one man and left another man hospitalized.
The first shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Van Kirk Street in the city’s Oxford Circle section.
Investigators say a gunman shot and killed an unidentified man. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. So far, there are no arrests and a motive was not immediately known.
The second shooting happened at about 1 a.m. at 23rd Street and Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia.
According to police, a man in his 20’s was shot while he was sitting inside his car. After being shot, the man got out of his car and stumbled into Earls’ Bar where he asked for help.
The man was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in stable condition. There are no arrests in this shooting.
Both shootings remains under police investigation.
