DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Delaware health officials are reporting the state's first influenza death of the flu season.
Officials said Wednesday that the 78-year-old man from New Castle County had underlying health conditions and had been hospitalized.
Division of Public Health Director Dr. Karyl Rattay says officials must continue reminding people how serious the flu can be and to get vaccinated.
Certain groups of people, including people with chronic underlying health conditions, are at higher risk of complications from the flu.
