Burglary Suspect Shot By Security Guard In West Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A burglary suspect has been hospitalized after being shot by a security guard in West Philadelphia Tuesday evening.
According to police, the suspect was attempting to steal a laptop computer from an office when he was shot by a private security guard.
The incident occurred just after 9:00 p.m. on the 3500 block of Fairmount Avenue.
Police say the suspect was struck in the hand and transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.
This incident remains under investigation.
