(CBS) - Just Go With It, the new romantic comedy with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, finished first at the box office with an estimated opening-weekend take of $31 million.
The debuting docu-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, wasn’t far behind, finishing a strong second and earning $30 million.
Third place was claimed by the new animated musical take on Shakespeare, Gnomeo & Juliet, which totaled a healthy $26 million.
Fourth place went to the weekend’s fourth new attraction, The Eagle, the period military drama starring Channing Tatum. It took in $9 million.
Overall, with the four new titles leading the way, the box office pulled out of its winter slump with its best industry-wide totals of the year to date.
