New Castle County Woman Robbed While Obtaining Her Mail

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – New Castle County Police are investigating the robbery of a woman who was confronted while retrieving her mail in her apartment building.

At about 7:25 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a reported robbery in the unit block of Fairway Road at the Hunters Crossing Apartment complex in Newark.

Police say the victim headed to the first floor of her apartment to get her mail when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect allegedly robbed the victim of her purse and then fled the area through the rear door of the building.

Police conducted a canine track that led outside the back of the building, across the courtyard, and ended by another building in the complex.

The suspect is described as being 6’0″, 180 lbs, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

    Black hooded sweat shirt and black pants. They don’t have the space in a mall for that many suspects!!!!!
