Woman Fatally Shot In Summerdale

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead and a man critically wounded in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at about 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Langdon and Anchor Streets in the city’s Summerdale section.

Investigators say the female victim suffered two gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is listed in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

The exact details surrounding the deadly shooting were not immediately known.

There is no word on a possible motive and the gunman remains on the loose.

    guess northeast philadelphia is turning into the ghetto.. i mean now no one can say that the northeast is so safe or a better neighborhood than any other. its just as dirty up here as it is in the hood, so all the taxes are going to what. even the cops are dirty. 15th and 2nd district please you should all be ashamed. northeast philly is ruined and thanks to all the slime buckets who have ruined it along the way. sad for the loss of 2 young women. but this neighborhood was safe beautiful and clean at one time. now they can just chalk it up. dont move here move out of this city its not safe take the blinders off. northeast philly has become the new ghetto people,
