PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The 2011 Helping Hands Hoagie Fundraiser is expected to surpass last year’s $21,500 donations.

The money raised goes to local families who have children in the Washington Township School District who are suffering with life-threatening medical conditions.

This Sunday more than 300 students, children and volunteers joined together inside the Orchard Valley Middle School cafeteria to make 4,000 hoagies.

I went to the hoagie sale and it was a lot of fun and it was for a great cause one girl in my school Skylar lost her sister to bone cancer and she was on the t-shirt too. I was the cappicola station and it turned my hands orange! Other than that, it was a lot of fun it is a moment i will never forget.
