DELAWARE CITY, Del. (AP) – An October fire in Delaware City that killed a baby, toddler and young mother has been ruled arson.

Investigators said Friday that a criminal investigation is under way in the Oct. 4 fire. The blaze killed 19-year-old Teyonna Watts and her daughters, 7-month-old Jordan Jones and 3-year-old Breyonna Jones in their home.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation with help from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives.

Officials released few details on how they determined the fire was intentionally set.
