Grammy Flashback: Ol Dirty Bastard Was The Original Kanye West

(CBS Music Staff) – As we prepare for the Grammys, we are looking back at unforgettable moments from award shows past. While Kanye West might have made a more famous faux paus at the 2009 MTV Music Awards when he jumped on stage during Tayler Swift’s acceptance speech, he certainly wasn't the first rapper to storm the stage at an inopportune time.

Just as Shawn Colvin, took the stage for her Song of the Year win, ODB busted through the crowd and grabbed the mic and declared, "Puffy and all the other artists are good artists, but I think Wu-Tang… hey, we're number one." Wu-Tang wasn't even nominated for the award.  After he left the stage, a shaken Colvin thanked the Grammys and her fans for the award.
