Old Farmer's Almanac Looks Ahead To Rest Of Winter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Monday marks the final day of January and most of us are happy to see it go and take the snowfall with it. An editor with The Old Farmer's Almanac explains what can be expected the rest of the winter.

The Old Farmer's Almanac has been predicting winter weather for years and editor, Janice Stillman said the publication has done pretty well, especially this season. "We did expect it to be a pretty snowy January and looking ahead to February, we're seeing snow showers possible," Stillman said. "A snow storm around about the third week of February, very cold conditions mid month."

Sitllman adds that they see less snow in February than January but the storm predicted in the third week of the month, "Could turn that totally upside down."

Stillman also said to throw in some rain and a few peeks at sunshine and you have your forecast for the next four weeks.
