PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Okay I have had enough. Leaving the house when it is dark and returning in the dark, facing the bitter cold, warming up the car for fifteen minutes before starting off to work – it goes on and on.

These are the complaints that rattle off the tongues of just about everyone this time of year. The problem is that there is no way around it…unless you take a brighter approach.

Researchers agree that one of the best ways to deal with the dog days of winter is to give yourself little breaks. Whether it is a trip to the health club, a few days away on vacation or even a personal day from work, there are opportunities to give yourself a bit of relief. For each of us it will be different but the key is finding a bit of an escape. It can make a real difference.
