Police Investigate 4 Homicides In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police in Philadelphia are investigating the deaths of four men who were shot and killed in separate incidents overnight.

Police say the body of a 30-year-old male was found with multiple gunshot wounds in his head. His body was found at about 12:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of Turner Street in Brewerytown. He was transported to Hahnemann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At about 12:45 a.m., police found the body of a 29-year-old male with a single bullet wound in his head in the city's Summerdale neighborhood. The victim was located in the 5500 block of Hill Creek Circle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 1 a.m.

The third homicide victim was a 19-year-old male who was pronounced dead at Hahnemann Hospital after he was transported in critical condition at about 3 p.m. Police say the victim, who was found in the 900 block of Master Street in north Philadelphia, was shot multiple times in the head and chest.

At about 3:45 p.m., police responded to another shooting in the 1000 block of South 54th Street in the city's Kingsessing section. The incident left a 44-year-old man dead after he sustained a gunshot wound in the back of his head, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

All cases remain under investigation. No arrests have been made.
