Alleged Pedophile Doctor’s Belongings Destroyed

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (CBS) — The contents of alleged pedophile Dr. Earl Bradley’s Rehoboth Beach storage unit will no longer be auctioned off.

On Wednesday, Delaware State Police and DELDOT personnel removed the items owned by Dr. Bradley from Secure Self Storage Unit and transported them to an undisclosed location, where they were destroyed.

Authorities say they wanted to alleviate concerns expressed by the community and assure them that Bradley’s belongings would not be resold or utilized again.

Dr. Earl Bradley was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting multiple children at his Delaware pediatric practice in December 2009.

I agree with trek5460 and itz. Shouldn’t he be called ALLEGED pedophile at this time? He has not been to trial and has not been proven guilty, yet. Therefore, technically and legally, he is presently innocent. As for his belongings being destroyed, IF he is found not guilty (it’s possible, remember O.J.), can he than sue the DSP and DelDOT for the value of those items?

His trail isn’t till next month. So much for being innocent till proven guilty.

I don’t recall reading that Dr. Bradley had been found guilty by the court. DId I miss something here? What has happened to the concept of innocent until proven guilty. The Delaware State Police and Deldot may have destroyed private property of at this point in time an innocent man.
