Funeral For Cancer Activist Janis Hill

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The funeral is this morning for Janis Hill, 52, the wife of our business anchor Vince Hill. She died last week of complications from cancer surgery. In her fight against the disease, she reached out to you and even now still does.

"I'm not a doctor but what I can do is lend my voice."

In public service announcements, Hill invited all to participate in the Mother's Day tradition, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Elaine Grobman, Komen's executive director here, says Hill's death breaks her heart, but notes that she was always reaching out to bring others into the fight.  This included last year in gathering of former Eagles cheerleaders like Hill to produce a Youtube video that raises money as its views go up.

"She has helped up raise over $200,000, her and the NFL alumni cheerleaders, but through her battling her breast cancer, she never stopped," Grobman said.
