MASONTOWN, Pa. (AP) — State police have charged the parents of a 1-year-old boy who was found wearing only a diaper and wandering in the cold on a southwestern Pennsylvania street.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for 22-year-old Jamie Michaels and 26-year-old Donald Darnell, of Nicholson Township, Fayette County. The couple also don’t have a listed phone, but state police in Uniontown say they’re charged with two counts each of endangering the welfare of children.

Police say the couple’s 5-year-old walked to a neighbor’s house while a 1-year-old child was spotted outside by neighbors who called police on Tuesday.

Police say they found the parents sleeping.

Both children are now in county custody.
