2-Alarm Blaze At Vacant Northeast Restaurant
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Fire officials are investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire at a vacant restaurant in Northeast Philadelphia Monday evening.
Crews responded to the Chi Chi's Mexican Restaurant on the 500 block of Franklin Mills Circle for reports of a fire just after 6 p.m.
Upon arrival, officials immediately called for a second alarm.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene where flames and heavy smoke could be seen billowing from the roof.
The fire was placed under control just before 7:45 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The restaurant has been closed for several years. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
