Pennsylvania Ballet Presents Classic Innovations
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The work of three masterful choreographers, William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, and Twyla Tharp come together on one stage at the Merriam Theater. The Pennsylvania Ballet presents Classic Innovations.
"People who don't know much about ballet, think they may not like it, this the program for you -- a great entre into the art form to kind of get a sense of what dance is all about."
Marissa Montenegro is the public relations manager for the Pennsylvania Ballet. She says you won't see a lot of frilly pink tutus in this program.
"It's a little more relaxed and comfortable, and you really get to appreciate the athleticism of our dancers and the amazing physical feats that they can accomplish. This is a sport as well as a beautiful art form."
There are five showings from February 3-6. For more information, visit http://www.paballet.org/.
