PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An unidentified man was killed along south Warminster Road in Hatboro, Montgomery County early Sunday.
Montgomery County detectives and Hatboro police are piecing together clues on the fatal hit and run. They say that so far they are not prepared to release any information on the striking vehicle but indicate they hope to release more information soon.
Police say the male victim was struck around 2:30 a.m. along south Warminster Road near Surrey Lane. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s not known if the pedestrian was struck while crossing the roadway or walking along the side of the road.
Investigators say the driver of the striking car or truck, which may be tan in color, failed to stop and call for help. So far, there’ve been no arrests and the hunt continues in the area for the striking vehicle.
Police hope someone who may have witnessed something will come forward.
