Second Annual 'Mac Off' Is Monday In Collingswood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A unique cooking competition will benefit a local food bank on Martin Luther King Day.

It's the Second annual Mac Off to benefit the Food Bank of South Jersey. Lydia Cipriani is Director of Philanthropy at the Food Bank. She says visitors pay at the door and get to taste and vote on the best Mac and Cheese the local food community has to offer.

"All the chefs are local independent chefs from our local culinary community. They're all going to bring in their own ethnic version of Mac and Cheese and they are going to offer tastings to as many people who walk in the door."

Cipriani says the proceeds directly benefit the Food Bank and also help launch the Food Bank's dietary and nutrition programs. The Mac Off is scheduled for Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Collingswood Community Center.
