EASTON, Pa. (AP) - A man arrested in the Christmas Eve shooting of a woman and a teenager in eastern Pennsylvania has now been charged with homicide following the woman’s death.
Forty-six-year-old John McGlinchey III of Nockamixon Township was arraigned Thursday in Lehigh County Court on charges of criminal homicide, attempted homicide and aggravated assault in the Easton shooting. He was initially charged with two counts of attempted homicide, but authorities say 43-year-old Kimiko Moon died Tuesday.
The (Easton) Express-Times says McGlinchey asked District Judge Daniel Corpora during the hearing whether the charges carry the death penalty. He was told that prosecutors would make that decision.
A 17-year-old youth was also critically injured, but authorities say he is expected to recover.
