PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society presents accordionist Lidia Kaminska at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Friday January 21st.

Miles Cohen is manager and artistic administrator for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society:

“Lidia is an interesting musician in that she sees the accordion as a very serious musical instrument and she has made it her livelihood to explore how to make the instrument go in every single kind of genre. So she has rewritten/arranged works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Scarlatti and Mozart. And, of course which will also be featured in her recital, she is playing quite a bit of works by the very famous Argentinean composer Ástor Piazzolla.”
