Eagles Enter The Playoffs Showing Off Their 'Heart'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It started with a locker-room pep talk, and wound up as the Eagles' playoff rallying cry.

When Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel challenged his teammates at halftime of the Giants game two weeks ago to show their heart, what followed was a huge comeback win. "Heart" quickly became the Birds' playoff slogan, says Eagles director of merchandise Brendan McQuillan.

"We're obviously excited about the playoffs this weekend, and the fans want to have something that'll kind of tie them to the team, and that "heart" slogan has done that."

So now, Eagles "Heart" T-shirts are among the hottest sellers at the Linc pro shop. Jen from Clifton Heights bought one for her Eagles fan mother.

"I don't know. I guess she feels it,in her heart! That's my mom."
