DENVER (AP) – Guard Lou Williams and assistant coach Brian James will miss the first two games of the Philadelphia 76ers’s five-game trip that started Sunday night in Denver.
Williams stayed home to be present for the expected birth of his daughter. James is in Illinois to attend the funeral for his father, who passed away Wednesday. The service is Tuesday.
Williams is averaging 11.1 points and 3.4 assists in 29 games this season.
Williams and James also will miss a game Monday night at Golden State. Both are expected to rejoin the team Friday in Los Angeles when the 76ers play the Lakers.
