LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (CBS) - Authorities in Mercer County have contained a fire that reportedly broke out in the parking lot at the Quaker Bridge Mall Wednesday evening.
Crews responded to a reported fire at about 9 p.m. off of Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville. Authorities say the mall was partially evacuated after heavy smoke filled the south wing of the mall between Macy’s and Sears.
According to police, the small fire was sparked by a stray cigarette, which possibly ignited a group of leaves near the building.
No injuries have been reported.
