Former Cop Convicted On Sex Abuse Charges

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A Philadelphia jury convicted a former city police officer and karate instructor of the repeated sexual abuse of a student. The defendant was immediately taken into custody.

Fifty-one-year-old Tyrone Wiggins showed no reaction on Tuesday.

But the victim, now 25, sobbed uncontrollably after the jury found Wiggins guilty of multiple sex offenses. Later, visibly shaken, she offered thanks. And she urged other potential victims to come forward saying there’s someone who will believe them, and there’s hope.

Wiggins will be sentenced in March. The prosecutor says he will argue for a very lengthy prison term.

Please keep this guy off the streets and away from our children. The longer the prison term (GEN-POP) the better for everyone.

  2. SHORT EYES HATER says:

I hope they put him in with the general population so that he will get what he deserves, which is what he did to that little girl. Prisoners don’t like ‘short eyes’.
