NHL: Flyers' Shelley Suspended for Saturday Hit
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Flyers forward Jody Shelley has been disciplined by the NHL.
The league handed down a two-game suspension to the Flyers' left wing as a result of an incident in Saturday night's overtime win at Boston.
It happened at the 5:08 mark of the second period. Shelley was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking from behind on a play involving Adam McQuaid of the Bruins.
Shelley will miss Tuesday night's game at Wells Fargo Center against Pittsburgh, and Wednesday's trip to Montreal.
Shelley has three points in 31 games this season, with 73 penalty minutes.
