PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Drexel is off to a strong start this season, and they will look to improve on a 5-1 record on Saturday when they host Rider.
The Dragons have done a lot of their damage on the road this season — they are already 3-1 away from home, which is already half as many road wins as they had last year.
Head coach Bruiser Flint is happy with that development.
“We returned a lot of players, so it is good to see us go and win some of the games that I thought we should have won last year, this year,” Flint told KYW Newsradio. “In terms of going on the road, (we’re) playing in some tough places, playing against some pretty decent teams.”

And now the Dragons are returning home for this game with Rider, and Flint says his team will need to be sharp defensively against the Broncs:
“They are one of the top three-point shooting teams in the country. There’s going to be some tough match-ups because they play a lot of guys on the perimeter. I know they are really, really good offensively.”
The Dragons haven’t played since they went on the road to beat Northeastern last Saturday.
