Early Morning House Fires Investigated

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities are investigating the causes of two unrelated fires that broke out in the Philadelphia area early Thursday morning.

The first blaze happened just after 1 a.m. in Haverton, Delaware County. The 2-alarm fire damaged a three-story home located on the unit block of Mercer Avenue. No injuries were reported.

At about 6 a.m. police responded to a fire on Old Church Road in Upper Salford Township in Montgomery County. The fire was quickly placed under control; However, the victim was taken to Grand View Hospital and is being treated for unknown injuries.
