Police Arrest Alleged Groper In Hunting Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police Special Victims have arrested a 21-year-old Philadelphia man for allegedly attacking and groping two women as they entered their Hunting Park apartment around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the two women were returning to their apartment in the 600 block of E. Cornwall Street and were about to enter their residence when the suspect snuck in behind the two, groped one woman and pulled the hair of the other.

The two women fought back; one grabbed a corkscrew and stabbed the suspect. In the meantime, a male roommate who awoke to screams called police and helped subdue the suspect.

The alleged attacker is now under arrest and undergoing treatment for a stab wound at Episcopal Hospital. Police have not linked the suspect to other recent gropings in the city.
