Montgomery County Farm Hosts Trees For Troops Event

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Montgomery County tree farmer is holding an event on Saturday and Sunday to send hundreds of Christmas trees to troops here and abroad.

Jay Bustard, partner at Bustard's Christmas Trees, hopes his patrons come out this weekend for his annual Trees for Troops event at his Lansdale Christmas tree farm.

People can donate funds to send trees to troops in this country and overseas or they can send holiday greetings.

"We're really hoping to set a goal of 300 trees this year. We're doing 50 ourselves. Or they can come here and just sign a free Christmas card or bring their own Christmas card and we'll make sure it gets in the truck and we'll deliver it free of charge." says Bustard.

Bustard's is part of a nationwide Trees for Troops campaign that sent 16,000 Christmas tress to troops last year. For more information, go to treesfortroops.org.
