PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are searching for a suspect who groped two women in Philadelphia’s Spring Garden neighborhood Thursday evening.
Investigators say the first woman was groped at 16th and Spring Garden Streets and the second female victim was groped near 15th and Green Streets. Both incidents happened only blocks and minutes apart.
The woman groped at 16th and Spring Garden was entering a cab when the suspect attacked.
After the groping incidents, the suspect fled on foot.
The suspect is described as light-skinned black in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5’8” with a medium build. He was wearing a green puffy down jacket with blue jeans. He also wore a scarf that partially covered his face.
In the past few weeks, two women have been raped in the same general area. As it stands now, police do not believe the same suspect is responsible.
Anyone with information on the incidents is urged to contact police.
