EWING TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) — Three people were injured after two cars slid on a patch of ice in Mercer County early Thursday morning.
The accident happened at about 6:43 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pennington Road in Ewing Township.
According to police, the incident began when an elderly driver hit a patch of ice and lost control of his car. The vehicle slid up over the curb and struck the front of Jane David’s Salon, causing minor damage to the building.
The elderly man got out of his vehicle and was assisted by a woman who happened to be walking down the street.
As the woman was assisting the elderly man, a second car also hit an ice patch, went up over the curb and struck both people.
All three victims were taken to the Capital Health Fuld Campus for non life threatening injuries.
The roadway was reopened at approximately 9:00 a.m.
