Skating Season Is Now In Full Swing At The RiverRink
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Ice skating season is here.
The Penn's Landing Blue Cross RiverRink opened for business on Friday. And plenty of people were there to give the ice a whirl:
"It's so pretty. Everybody's skating. They're having fun. It's awesome."
"We're all out here having a great time."
"It's better than shopping, any day and a lot more fun, too!"
"This is our first time down here as a big family. I usually get the kids down here closer to Christmas but my nieces and nephews heard about it and they wanted to be on board."
A portion of the proceeds from the opening day at the River Rink benefited the Philadelphia police and fire department's Survivor's Fund.
