PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It’s their first Thanksgiving as Americans. Approximately 50 people became U.S. citizens on Wednesday in center city.

Those naturalized at the U.S. citizenship and immigration services field office in Philadelphia were very happy and said they have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

So on their first Thanksgiving as Americans some were putting on their chef hats like one man originally from Estonia, “I’m making the turkey definitely. My friend he taught me how.”

And a woman from India says she’ll be cooking her family’s Thanksgiving meal but their vegetarians, “I’m going to cook something like a tofu turkey and mash potatoes.”
